Your Private Clare Valley Walkers’ Lodge
Tucked away in the beautiful Spring Gully region of the Clare Valley, just 10 minutes from Clare township, our private walkers’ lodge is much more than somewhere to sleep—it’s an important part of the Clare Valley Walk experience.
Set on 55 peaceful acres and bordering Spring Gully Conservation Park, the lodge is reserved exclusively for guests of The Clare Valley Walk. There are no other visitors coming and going; while you’re with us, this beautiful country retreat is yours to enjoy.
The lodge is a spacious stone country home, comfortably accommodating up to 10 guests across five king/twin bedrooms. Four bedrooms have their own ensuite, while the fifth has a private bathroom conveniently located directly across the hall.
At the heart of the lodge is a wonderful open-plan living area with a huge stone fireplace, comfortable leather lounges, a large dining table and floor-to-ceiling windows framing magnificent views across the surrounding countryside. It’s the perfect place to put your feet up after a day on the trail, share a bottle of Clare Valley wine, enjoy dinner together or simply settle into a comfortable chair beside the fire.
55 Acres of Clare Valley to Yourself
Step outside and you’re surrounded by classic Clare Valley countryside. The property adjoins Spring Gully Conservation Park and features stands of rare Red Stringybark—the native vegetation the neighbouring conservation park was originally established to protect in 1961.
It’s wonderfully peaceful. There’s fresh country air, big skies, beautiful sunsets, kangaroos grazing around the property and the unmistakable sound of magpies singing in the morning.
We deliberately build plenty of time into our walking-tour itinerary for you to actually enjoy the lodge. There’s no need to rush off again as soon as the walking is finished. Pour a glass of wine, light the fire, find a comfortable spot and settle in.
After a day exploring the Clare Valley on foot, there are few better places to come home to.
